Graduate | Performance Reporting Analyst
Based in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, our client is a global Top 100 university. This exciting and diverse role is part of the Data Transformation and Reporting team, who are responsible for providing the critical enabling function which facilitates the UPS’s analytic, planning and performance activities which inform evidence-based strategic planning and decision-making, in line with the University’s strategy.
We are looking for a Graduate Performance Reporting Analyst to join the Data Transformation and Reporting Team. Reporting directly to the Lead, you will gain outstanding guidance and mentorship for experienced professionals. To be successful in this role you will have some understanding of interactive visualisation and report development, and/or strong interest in automation and operationalise your solutions through tools such as Power BI. You will have a proactive approach to understanding key business drivers, an ability to identify opportunities for service improvement or enhancement and an enthusiasm for working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.
As a graduate you will be taught and build the skills to become a subject matter expert regarding the University’s performance, delivering end-to-end interactive analytic and/or reporting products including: proactively identifying opportunities and emerging information needs; conceptualising, prototyping and operationalising reports; and delivering performance-related insights to various key stakeholders across the organisation. You will contribute towards the development and delivery of interactive analytic and reporting products which enhance the University’s reporting and insight generation capabilities and facilitate evidence based decision making and planning in support the University’s strategic goals.
As a highly motivated and driven individual, you will have completed a relevant tertiary qualification and show a passion for data and analytics. You will also possess the following skills/ experiences:
- Interest and knowledge of contemporary analytic, visualisation and/or reporting development approaches, tools, packages and their application;
- The ability to research, identify and conceptualise complex business problems with a high degree of strategic value;
- An ability to initiate and subsequently translate ideas into tangible interactive reporting products to deliver analytical insights which facilitate evidence-based decision making.
