Chemical Engineering Summer Internship

The Role:

This full-time, 12-week summer internship program is a fantastic way to explore your interest in the energy sector, gaining exposure to both the world of site-based operations as well as corporate insights. By the end of your placement you will have gained a genuine feel for a career within an organisation that keeps Australia moving.

Based in Geelong, you will gain exposure to a range of exciting and new challenges within a supportive and collaborative environment. Working directly with technical experts on real-life projects, you will make use of your technical knowledge and deepen your skills through practical application. And let’s not forget the opportunity to enhance your business acumen and a plethora of other hugely important transferable skills.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a project based internship and sometimes, no two days will be the same. But expect to be guided and supported through various exciting projects by a team of well-respected industry experts who are committed to your development.

About You:

To be the successful candidate for this exceptional summer internship program, you will be excited by the energy industry and possess a passion for learning and developing your skills. You will consider yourself an excellent communicator who enjoys working as a part of a cohesive and collaborative team. In addition, you will possess the following attribute:

  • Ability to work through innovative solutions to problems and enjoy a challenge
  • A sharp, switched on and logical mind and able to adapt swiftly to change
  • Strong time management and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at any one time.

Candidates must be available to commit to working over the 12 week internship period (November 2019 – February 2020).

Qualifications: 

Studying towards a Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemical/ Process Engineering
